HyperPig

HyperPig

Hyperpig is a poly-scaled variant of BasicPig to be used with the TacticalBoards frame for resolving piece combats in GnosticChess.

  1. Each player has a separate target number they must reach to win the combat. This number is determined by considerations in the SuperGame?, such as the opponent's unit strength or hit points.
  2. A turn consists of a number of rounds.
  3. Each round, a player may roll up to N dice, where N is determined by considerations in the SuperGame?, such as her unit strength.
    1. Players roll the dice simultaneously. Both players must announce how many dice they are rolling before they roll.
    2. A player may continue to roll until either
      1. rolling a 1, which case all points accumulated this turn are lost, or
      2. the player chooses to hold, in which case all points accumulated this turn are added to that player's score.
    3. When a player's turn ends and they have scored enough points to win, the opponent must end their turn as well. If both players accumulate enough points to win on the same round, the game is a draw. (In Gnostic Chess, simultaneous kills are possible.)
    4. If neither player has yet scored enough points to win and one player's turn ends, the other player may continue taking rounds until either rolling a 1 or choosing to hold.
    5. When both players' turns have ended, a new turn begins.
