'''Monopoly''' is one of the most popular ["BoardGame"]s of all time. It was invented by Charles Darrow in 1934 and is published by Parker Brothers. The remarkable thing about Monopoly is that, unique among the classics, it's a truly ''awful'' game. The action consists of pieces going around and around on the same board. A player typically only makes one choice on a turn, and it's often a no-brainer. The winner is almost always determined by luck, usually about halfway through a typical four-hour game. The remaining two hours are a tedious game of attrition in which the winner slowly crushes the other players into bankruptcy, one random event at a time. During this phase of the game, players can go for hours without making any MeaningfulChoices at all.
