Kisa, *you* will always win. *I* will always win. Consider how much
trouble Meredith and Marty were having the other night -- they're
pretty rusty on their sliding-block puzzle skills, and might actually
give up before they solved it if they were playing solitaire, in which
case they wouldn't win...
I'm glad to hear you say you loved it; my impression when we played
the four-player game was that you were a little iffy on it, but maybe
that was because things bogged down a bit when Marty and Mer got
stymied.
Ron.
I loved the game, it was the situation. I didn't mean that the other
players had no skill in this game and meant no offense and it was meant to
be taken with a grain of salt. Cleary I will not "always" win. It is true
that the ladies did not have smooth sets and their skills at such games were
rusty. That was part of my point in wanting the "slide" rule in place. I
have dexterity skills developed in youth that give me a great advantage and
I would like to see that leveled as much as possible as I like to play such
games with other people. I think that if someone had something that would
chime every 2-3 seconds that would be better than calling out slide. I
think the caller might not be even in calling given that they would also
being thrying to find a move and it may turn out that they call after they
have found a move. I don't think the later would be intentional but they
might be looking find a move and then remember to call. But then I am very
focused when playing a game like this and others may be able to multi-focus
better than I in such situations.

You know, *everybody* likes this game. I have not tried it yet
because the rules looked fiddly, but people seem to be saying they are
not as fiddly as they look. I guess I am not a great game "sight
reader":
Some times a game is better learned from another player than the rules. I
would be happy to give you a tour when next we meet.

You b*st*rd! I've been meaning to review Black Pawn Trucking and
KotNM for a week or two now, and possibly Pack Solitaire as well, but
I've been too busy. I'd better hurry up and do them today while I'm
still snowed in.

LOL
Ron seems to have suggested that I look at Black Pawn Trucking and KotNM at
close to the same time that he thought of it. Thus, it is only my
procrastination and getting tired last night (as I had intended to look at
them then) that even gives him a chance to review it first, snowed in or
not. ;-p
Same disclaimer applies. I will also add the Ron is the person who got me
interested in game systems, gave me my current Piecepack, and has been
gently encouraging me do design some games for a long time.
