The Solitaire contest is now over. What is not over, is the energy
still flowing in the authors. Since the contest is now over, my
timing will have to adapt. I had planned to release Epicenter on the
15th, but I will now wait till the 24th. The release of my last two
rulesets were release on the 24th, so I guess this is a good date.
Close to the middle of the month, and a week or so to play my game
of the month. (That is, the game I released for that month, I plan
to go on for 12 months, I do not mean to imply that my game(s) has
won any special designation, or award.)
When I do release my next game, I will remove Camel's Quest and
Pawnopoly from the work in progress folder. I recongnize that these
games need to be revised, and will have the rulesets "down" durring
this process.
Incindently, I am about halfway through "The Billion Dollar
Monopoly Swindle" by Ralph Anspach. Needless to say, the book will
help me stableize Pawnopoly, include one mechanic that I previously
decided to forgo, and give credit to the correct people (The
Quakers) and not to the worng people(Hasbro/Parker Brothers). I was
also glad to read that the monopoly concept is Public Domain (In
fact, the first board turned 100 one week ago).
Until 1/24, have fun with the competition entries, then enjoy
Epicenter. "Hide and Seek" is on schedule for 2/24. More Information
on that on 2/12
