Thanks very much for creating this diagram and posting it!
Although it is not specified one way or the other in the rules, we
award a point of symmetry for a single bed that sits on your sight
line. So, that red plant bed closest to the gazebo in the diagram
would score 1 point for color and 1 point for symmetry, giving a
grand total of 10 points for the situation shown in the diagram.
I can see how someone could argue that one bed on the center line
would not constitute symmetry; it should be made clear in the rules.
