Hm, I'm not really sure what you're trying to say about the discussion
about hard and easy clues. Could you please elucidate? It might help
if you read the rest of the rules for Piecepack Letterbox, since it's
really doing something quite different.

I was skimming over Piecepack Letterboxing, and I knew that one of
my games had a similar concept.
Let me state that I have not read Letterboxing in full, and I make
this statement on recent hubbub over what a Hint to identity of a
tile ((and therefore coins)) could or could not be.
In reviewing my files, I found this, an excerpt from my game
Piecepack Poker Party Parade, hosted on the piecepack.org site:
I provide the excerpt for the benefit of adding to the current
discussion.

Wearing plaid and stripes or "Making a Statement"
Starting with the dealer, and then to the right, each player
provides a statement about one of their tiles. A statement can not
be made on a tile that has been revealed previously.
You must make a true statement about a tile on your home row. The
statement you make must identify that tile. Your statement must be
specific enough to exclude the identity of 12 or more tiles. You
indicate what (face down) tile you are making the statement of.
Sample possible statements:
This tile is Neither a Sun or a Moon
This tile's value is Prime.
You can not make these statements:
This tile's value is less than 5
This tile is not an Arms.
