I'm going on a road trip today with four members of my family,
including my wife Marty, and Meredith "The Eradicator" Hale, all of
whom play piecepack games. Blue Panther's JCD travel piecepacks got me
thinking: what about a piecepack you could really play in the car or
on a plane?
First pass at the idea: a metallic (but non-magnetised) playing field.
The pieces, such as tiles and coins, would be thin pieces of magnetic
material printed on both sides. Either side would cling to the playing
field. (They make double-sided magnetic Shogi sets, don't they?) Pawns
would have magnets on the bottom, like magnetic chess pieces.
I don't know about dice. Any ideas? Maybe Pop-o-Matics?
