Re: cooperative games?

I wasn't really thinking of a competition with prices (I mean, as far as I know the icehouse game design competions don't have prices either and still people send in their designs), but if you're willing to sponsor this thing that would be great! Maybe a real competition can help me (and other people) to make some spare time for the finishing of my idea.

Personally you would have my blessing to print en reprint "my" rules as long as it stays creative commons. I mean: via the piecepack wiki people can print and reprint rules as well.

I don't know the BGDF format, but maybe some other people can send in their ideas as well. See what would work best for this competition...

Blue Panther would be happy to sponsor a competition for a
cooperative piecepack game.

A few thoughts....

1) We'd need some help when it comes to deciding the winner - maybe
use the BGDF design of the month competition format?

2) We'd be happy to let the piecepack community decide the winner,
if that's what you prefer.

3) We'd give the winner(s) of the contest a free copy of our new
Elemental Piecepack.

4) We'd like to have all entrants give us permission in their
licensing to reprint their rules in the second volume of "A Gamer's
Dozen Piecepack Games" that will ship with our new Set 2 when it goes
to press later this year.

5) We don't own the winning design, the designer does - we just
want the ability to reprint it in a book and list it on our website.

Maybe it's time for a cooperative design competition. I've had one
idea in mind for quite a long time now, but I haven't been able to
thoroughly test it. And I know it will be some time before I am able
to write again. Who's up for the challenge to design more cooperative
games?
