Well, anyone who wants to do the work of starting and running a community-controlled forum wherever is perfectly free to do that. The Facebook group is, in fact, community-controlled, and given the reach of the service it's an excellent medium for increasing visibility of the piecepack community to the public, and therefore new enthusiasts, which will certainly be to the good.
