A wonderful card game originally published in German but available in English. Each player is a bean farmer. You are dealt cards that must be kept in strict order they are dealt, as you are forced to plant one bean each turn. You try to build up beans of the same type in your 2 or 3 fields until you can profitably harvest them. Meanwhile you trade beans with other players. This is sufficiently interesting to hold one's attention but not so brain straining that it can't be used as a relatively calm end of night game. With experienced players it flies; with newbies it can go slower. By the way, in case some don't have as much German as others, Bohne is the German word for bean.
