= Can't Stop = http://www.ludism.org/scpix/20000415/20000415k.jpg A light Sacksonian diversion that "nicely clears the palate", as ["Marty Hale-Evans"] says. It is a strategic game of chance. I won't go into detail on the rules here, but suffice it to say that there is a very strong incentive at certain points in the game to push your luck, to roll the dice ''just one more time'' -- and that's the name of the game. As I've often remarked (too often, probably), if Can't Stop had been invented 100 or 200 years ago, it would today be a classic "push your luck" game in every casino, just like Blackjack or Craps. But then I probably wouldn't play it, because I never gamble, so I guess I'm lucky it was invented in the late 20th century. (People have actually invented Blackjack-like "systems" to "beat" Can't Stop.) --["Ron Hale-Evans"] [http://www.boardgamegeek.com/viewitem.php3?gameid=41 BoardgameGeek page for Can't Stop (game #41!)] ---- CategoryGamePage
