= Domino Rasanto (DoRa) = Three-dimensional dominoes! A bridge between dominoes and dice. [http://www.gamecabinet.com/rules/DasSpiel.html#26 Game #26] in the ["Das Spiel"] GameSystem rulebook Rule clarifications by ["Ron Hale-Evans"] 2-3 players, better with 3 == Setup == In a three-player game, each player takes 55 dice of one colour. In a two-player game, each player takes 83 dice of one colour. The winner is the player who places all of his dice first. == Play == Every turn, a player rolls one of her dice onto the baseplate. She then moves it, without changing its orientation, adjacent to another die already on the plate. As funnels are made, they are filled as follows: 1. If all numbers i\xADn the funnel are different, then the owner of the die showing the highest number fills the funnel with one of her dice "domino-style" (so that the corresponding numbers on both dice touch). Example: if the highest number is a 5, she places her die so its 5 face touches the 5 in the funnel. 2. If two of the numbers in the funnel are the same, then the owner of the die showing the different number fills the funnel with one of his dice domino-style. Example: if the funnel shows a 6, a 6, and a 1, he places his die so its 1 face touches the 1 in the funnel. 3. If all three numbers in the funnel are the same, the player who completed the funnel (placed the third die) fills the funnel with one of his dice domino-style, choosing which die in the funnel to match. 4. EXCEPTION: If all three dice are the same colour, the player next in turn order to the owner of the dice fills the funnel with one of her dice domino-style, matching her die to the highest number. If the highest number appears more than once, the player may decide which die in the funnel to match. == Timing == The current player decides in which order to fill funnels, if he has any to fill. When he can't fill any more, the next player in the turn order fills her funnels. When she can't fill any more, the player after her in the turn order fills his funnels, and so on.
