= Kids Game = Any game that is mainly suitable for children. If you think you might be playing a Kids Game, ask yourself the following questions: *Is the game ruled utterly by chance? *Is player interaction low to medium? *Do you find that you never have to make tough decisions? *Does a/the key strategy revolve around memorization, counting, or color recognition? *Do you feel a lack of satisfaction when you do well? *Are the instructions printed on the inside of the box in which the game resides? *Do you find your attention span underwhelmed? *Does the game involve a spinner? *Do you feel that the game is trying to teach you about cooperation, telling the truth, behaving in school, or doing chores when asked? *Are you playing Monopoly? If you answered Yes to more than a couple of the above questions, then you are probably playing a Kids Game. Bear in mind that this is not necessarily something of which you should be ashamed. --["Paul David Unwin"] Some examples of Kids Games: * ["Chutes and Ladders"] * ["Concentration"] * ["Candyland"] ["Bitin' Off Hedz"] is an example of something I consider a kid's game from Cheapass Games that is not quite as random, but still pretty random. I would also mention an interesting game, ["Apples to Apples"], which we found perfectly playable with both adults an school age children simultaneously, and it was loads of fun. This is not a perfectly random game, and there is tons of player interaction. I highly recommend it for kids, and for mixed groups. --["Eric Yarnell, ND"] ---- CategoryGameTypePage
