= Mancala = An ancient game of stones and pits, possibly meant to simulate farming in some way. One popular version of the rules is adequately reproduced at the Boardgame``Geek link below, so I won't go over it here. The only things left out is that the pits can start with any number of stones, typically 3-6; and that it's not considered sporting to take the stones out of a pit and count them. Another version has a player pick up a set of stones, sow them around the board as usual, and then pick up the stones if any in the final pit and continue on. Ending in an empty pit or your scoring pit ends your turn. --["Paul David Unwin"] [http://www.boardgamegeek.com/viewitem.php3?gameid=2448 BoardgameGeek page for Mancala] ---- CategoryGamePage
