Guidelines for publishing modified versions of games that are already on this wiki

This document is a draft. Please edit it and/or discuss it on the comments page.

Many of the games on this wiki have been published with licenses that allow the creation and publication of derivative works. If you think you could improve on one of them feel free to do so, but please observe the following guidelines.

• Leave the entry on the Games page as it is.
• Leave the header of the game page as it is.
• In the Rules section add a link to your version of the rules document stating that it is your modified version and perhaps include a brief summary of what you changed.
• In the case of games where the rules are in the game page rather than being a separate document move them to a separate page and linked to it in the rules section of the main game page.
• Do not remove anyone else's old versions.

We encourage you to contact the original author if you can to show them your modifications and of course to let them know how much you enjoyed their game.
